Jakub Jankto, Milan’s last signing?
Milan are currently trying to sell a couple of players in order to finance a move for a new midfielder. Jakub Jankto of Udinese appears to be the target.
Everyone is expecting at least one new entry by the reossoneri tomorrow, when the summer transfer window will officially close. Currently AC Milan’s mercato is blocked due to some failed exit transfers. There are several players that the club is trying to sell but that for one reason or another are not departing. For both numerical and technical reasons it is important to get rid of some redundant players before purchasing a new reinforcement. We will have to wait and see if the rossoneri will be able to complete a sale tomorrow and finance a signing, thus improving Vincenzo Montella’s team.
Today Giuseppe Riso arrived at Casa Milan to met Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli (read here). An appointment where inevitably was talked about football and at the end of which the agent revealed that the rossoneri’s sports director is working on an incoming operation. Obviously he did not reveal the name of the player but it is not so hard to guess.
Sports journalist Alfredo Pedulla through his web portal revealed that Riso has offered Jakub Jankto to Milan. He is a left midfielder playing for Udinese and is well liked by the red and black club. Jankto is chased by a number of Premier League clubs but he would not say no to a transfer to Milanello. Inter and Juventus also made an inquiry, though they did made any offers.
However, it should be said that the eventual Jankto operation could happen only if in the meantime Milan will succeed in selling M’Baye Niang. At the moment the French striker is the key to unblock Milan’s mercato. If he departs, the club can open negotiations for Jankto. Otherwise it appears complicated to see new purchases arrive in San Siro.
